One of my handguns is a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special (not .44 Magnum). It's so light (only 21 ounces) that firing can be acutely painful. Half a box at a time for practice is my limit: after that my hand starts to throb. The rubber grips shown here tame it somewhat but it still is a handful. I don't even like to think about what it would be like if it were chambered in .44 Magnum: it would probably bounce out of my hand. It would certainly stop an attacker.
